Social Security Disibility Income is very hard to get on. I had a stroke due to a bleeding brain and was denied ssdi 1 time before finally getting on it after more than 2 years. Apply for medicaid. Judges are sometimes wrong. Very very wrong. Don't give up the ghost. Edit~there are two different housing authority, section 8 and HUD. I live on a HUD property. But the amount of time is the same. Frequent checking like calls, coming by checking on your application will speed up the process a lot of times.
