Can i gain residency and join us army?

hi,am a citizen of UK,married to an american citizen for three years,we have 2 kids whom have dual US-UK citizenship,my wife and kids are currently living bin the US,she works full time but does not earn nough to sponsor my green card as yet,i really wana join the armed forces and and give something back to what will one day be my adoptive country,is there any way of receiving a waiver from the sponsorship rules that are impeding my legal residency status so i can join the armed forces?thank you in advance,i amnt expecting the answer i wish for,but hopefully an informative one.
